Welcome Bookers, Fans & Friends!
Opener for Crys Matthews!
Greetings and Welcome!
My name is Stacia, and I am an Americana, Alt. Country, Folk mixed with a tinge of Indie Pop, singer-songwriter. I perform solo (guitar w/vocals) as a duo (w/fiddle or upright) as well as trio (vocals w/acoustic guitar, electric guitar & upright bass) and seek out intimate settings where I can share with audiences both emotionally charged original music & engaging storytelling rooted in the experiences and emotions that connect us all. Please explore and reach out with any questions!
about/bio
Americana, alt. country, singer songwriter Stacia Thiel is a classically trained musician, born and raised in rural Wisconsin on an eclectic mix of old time country, 60's Folk, and Barbershop harmonies. An insatiable analyzer of human quirks, twists of fate, and idiosyncrasies, Stacia explores through captivating lyrics and searing vocal lines, the raw emotions that connect us all.
Stacia has been writing and performing music since childhood and cut her first full length album of original folk/pop songs at age 17. With a master’s degree in vocal performance (opera) she utilizes her voice and registers in ways that fans have shared is 'powerful and achingly beautiful.' While her music combines the classic elements of Americana, Folk and Country her soaring melodies, poetic lyrics and vocal prowess serve up a sound that feels fresh.
Based in the suburbs of Northern NJ just 12 miles outside Manhattan Stacia performs throughout the East Coast and is booking a Midwest tour 'back home' in summer 2024!
the album

Stacia has been writing, recording and performing music for decades. After a move from New York City to the suburbs, she found herself writing at the kitchen table, late at night against the sweet silence of suburbia. As the songs accumulated, she longed to cut a solo record. A chance meeting took her songs from the kitchen table to what is now her debut album, Straight to the Middle.
For this record Stacia worked with producer, singer-songwriter and guitarist Scott E. Moore after sharing what is now the title track with Moore during a rehearsal in his studio. The two connected on their mutual affinity for raw vulnerable songwriting, gut wrenching vocals, melodic guitar lines and the undeniable magic of live recordings. Soon Stacia began culling through the vast catalog of songs stored on her iPhone and hard drive to share with Moore. Nine songs were chosen to live together on this record and Moore assembled a dream team, including Kaleidoscope Sound studio owner/engineer Randy Crafton, drummer Dan Rieser (Norah Jones), and engineer Kim Rosen (Aimee Mann)... to give them wings.
The album entered the Top 20 in the
